Description Masatake YAMATO 2011-04-04 14:28:51 UTC
Description of problem:

The binaries in tog-pegasus are stripped when built.
Debugging them is painful.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

2.9.1-5.el6

How reproducible:

Set a breakpoint on main function and run cimserver under gdb.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual results:

It is never stopped.

Expected results:

It should be stopped at main.

Additional info:

pegasus-2.10.0-dont-strip.patch in 2.10.0-5.fc16 improves the situation.
However, -g option is still dropped. -g option should be added, too.

Comment 2 RHEL Program Management 2011-04-04 14:33:57 UTC
Since RHEL 6.1 External Beta has begun, and this bug remains
unresolved, it has been rejected as it is not proposed as
exception or blocker.

Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to
propose this request, if appropriate and relevant, in the
next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Comment 3 Vitezslav Crhonek 2011-04-05 09:58:52 UTC
