Screenshot with font configuration open

Yesterday my system updated to KDE 4.6.1 after which my fonts got really big. Trying to update the font sizes in "System Settings -> Application Appearance -> Fonts" does work for the most part but not for the widgets, task manager, or any other thing automatically started on login.

Steps to reproduce:

1 - In "System Settings -> Application Appearance -> Fonts" adjust all font sizes to 8 pts.

2 - Log out and log back in.

3 - The applications automatically started on login still have the default font size (10 or 12 pts in my system) , all other applications will use the new size (8 pts).

Expected behavior:

All applications should be using the new font size after logout and login, including all applications automatically started on login.

In Attachment:
Screenshot showing task manager and desktop widgets using the system default font size, font configuration showing the expected font sizes, and a Konqueror open to show the expected font sizes. Screenshot taken after configuration, logout and login.

After some additional testing I've reached the conclusion that all font sizes are being changed, including the widgets and task manager...

To test it i've reduced all font sizes to 5 pts and the difference is noticeable.

Despite that my desktop still looks very odd after the KDE 4.6.1 update. Fonts in widgets, task manager, notifications, etc still look very big compared to the rest of the desktop. I now either get acceptable looking fonts (size wise) for that or for the rest of the system :/
