Description of problem: yum-groups-manager will use the default /etc/yum.conf, regardless of whether an alternate configuration is specified on the command line Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): yum-utils version 1.1.26-11.el6 # yum-groups-manager --version Manage yum groups metadata version 0.0.1 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. yum-groups-manager -c alternate_yum.conf ... 2. 3. Actual results: yum-groups-manager uses default /etc/yum.conf Expected results: yum-groups-manager uses alternate_yum.conf Additional info: the code (/usr/bin/yum-groups-manager) contains two calls to doConfigSetup, first without the configuration file specified, then with/without as appropriate: initnoise = (not opts.quiet) * 2 yb = yum.YumBase() yb.doConfigSetup(debuglevel=0, errorlevel=1) if opts.conffile: yb.doConfigSetup(fn=opts.conffile, debuglevel=initnoise, init_plugins=opts.plugins) else: yb.doConfigSetup(debuglevel=initnoise, init_plugins=opts.plugins) Commenting out the "yb.doConfigSetup(debuglevel=0, errorlevel=1)" line fixes the problem, and allows the use of a configuration file specified on the command line.
