Description Lennart Poettering 2011-04-08 02:42:24 UTC
$ rpm -qf /etc/tmpfiles.d/filesystem.conf
filesystem-2.4.40-1.fc15.x86_64

filesystem includes a tmpfiles configuration file /etc/tmpfiles.d/filesystem.conf, with a single line "d /var/lock/subsys 0755 root root" which is already existing in a tmpfiles file of the systemd package. I'd like to ask you to remove this from the filesystem pkg, as I would like to keep this in the systemd package as it comes from upstream, in order to keep things in sync with other distributions

Also, the file is marked +x for some reason?

Comment 1 Ondrej Vasik 2011-04-08 05:12:53 UTC
Thanks for report, +x is just by accident - I'll drop filesystem.conf from filesystem package as filesystem package should contain only directories (and this was the only exception)

Fixed in rawhide, filesystem-2.4.41-1.fc16 - is that really worth of fix/update in Fedora 15? Are you ok with closing rawhide and eventually fixing in f15 together something more important in future?

Comment 3 Lennart Poettering 2011-04-11 18:15:22 UTC
Well, I think it would be cool to have it in F15, so that folks who look into the new /etc/tmpfiles.d/ dir for the first time aren't confused by this and the fact that the conf file is +x.

But then again, this is definitely not the most pressing problem. So yeah, I think it would be cool to have in F15, but it's up to you.

Comment 4 Ondrej Vasik 2011-04-11 18:22:34 UTC
Ok, closing Rawhide for now, I'll eventually fix it in next f15 filesystem update.
