Description mimetaster 2011-04-10 14:53:57 UTC
Description of problem:
On rawstudio-2.0-0.1.fc14.beta1 : the white balance setting does not allow anymore to process pictures taken under UV light since the white balance setting cannot be set to a high enough value to compensate the highly blueish color under UV. Therefore, I cannot see fluorescence anymore.

For me its a major regression, but this bug wont impact many users since it might be only a problem for peoples who use UV light like me - that's why I consider the severity as low.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
rawstudio-2.0-0.1.fc14.beta1

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Take a picture in raw format under UV light
2. Open it with Rawstudio
3. try to ajust the white balance

Actual results:
The photo stay blueish instead of being properly equilibrated.
The fluorescence under UV light can't be rendered properly

Expected results:
The white balance could be set to the value high enough to see fluorescence and withdraw the excess of blue.

Additional info:
Workaround : downgrade to 1.2-6.fc14.20100907svn3521 - worked great, as expected.

I've just filled a bug report there. Unfortunately I didn't see your bug report first. I think that it will be resolved by rawstudio team soon. Many thanks.

Comment 3 Fedora End Of Life 2012-08-16 13:19:40 UTC
This message is a notice that Fedora 14 is now at end of life. Fedora
has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 14. It is
Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no
longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version'
of '14' have been closed as WONTFIX.

(Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this
occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.)

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen
this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we were unable to fix it before Fedora 14 reached end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on
"Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that
version of Fedora.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
