Fix checked into distill. gfs2-utils should drop out of base once libguestfs no longer depends on it. In RHEL6.1-20110413.1/Server (i386, x86_64_ gfs2-utils is available only in the ResilientStorage repos. An advisory has been issued which should help the problem described in this bug report. This report is therefore being closed with a resolution of ERRATA. For more information on therefore solution and/or where to find the updated files, please follow the link below. You may reopen this bug report if the solution does not work for you. http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHEA-2011-0540.html this issue is still present in RHEL6, recently had a entitlement issue for a customer because of this bug. Do we have any eta when this package will no longer be available in the RHEL6 base channel? Ken, can you provide more details on the entitlement issue? The only version of the package in the base channels should be what was there before it was removed in 6.1. Hi Dennis, Basically on any RHEL 6.3 system with only the base channel in the RHN, the command yum install gfs2-utils still installs all the tools to create and manage gfs2 filesystems. I was under the impression this should not be available if you don't have the Resilient Storage entitlement. I have a customer who managed to install the gfs2-utils and create gfs2 filesystems. When it came time to raises a Red Hat support ticket they were told that in order to get the question answered they required Resilient Storage entitlements. All im saying is that entitlement mix ups are going to continue to occur if this package is not moved to resilient storage only. Hi Ken, Thanks for the explanation. As a rule, we don't remove content once it has shipped (as you can tell by all of the old packages on RHN ;). However, I'll go ahead and clone bug this into a new bug and we can explore the options.
