Description of problem:
I am using the Nvidia Driver from RPM FUSION. When i enable anything that shows a tray icon on the bottom right of the panel (e.g. Empathy, dropbox) the Activities overlay animation is very slow and choppy, other animations like scrolling down the applications list of CTRL+ALT+UP or DOWN for changing workspaces is fine. Closing the applications and the system immediately comes back to normal behavior.

The problem fixed by installing NVIDIA 270.41.03 prerelease http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=2417099 . Now the tray icons don't slow the system
