Dell PowerEdge M610 and M710 systems are certified for RHEL5.3 (and RHEL6). When installing RHEL5.4 (and RHEL5.5, 5.6), a panic is logged:

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install RHEL 5.4 x86_64 on either the M610 or M710
Actual Results:
Kernel messages log contains the panic message noted in the bug summary

Expected Results:
Expect a kernel messages log free of kernel panics

The necessary hardware to reproduce this bug is available in the Westford engineering lab.

Comment 3 Derrich Hafemann 2011-04-11 20:12:19 UTC
These kernel panics are happening on RHEL 5.4, 5.5, 5.6 but not the 20110409.3 build of RHEL5.7.

Not a panic. Just a warning.

CLOSED/NOTABUG ... works in latest tree.
