Description Joey Boggs 2011-04-12 15:44:44 UTC
unable to read version information from 5.x builds without the version file being on the Root. bz588267 detects 5.X builds based on /dev/HostVG/Root existing for now.

$live/$syslinux/version is now put on Root in 6.1+ builds now. Will need to use it to determine minor versions for upgrading.

Needed for 6.1 -> 6.2 upgrades earliest, but even then minor upgrades are supported.
It's major upgrades where we reserve right to break upgrades to allow e.g. incompatible disk layout changes.
