comment

evolution has problems with downloading email after program was aborted previously (disconnect from network).
Does not seem to recognize which mail it should download (always leave a year of mail on provider server)

How to reproduce
-----
1. start email
2. send email
3. just do nothing for 30 minutes, then it crashes.

Comment 2 Milan Crha 2011-04-13 06:30:20 UTC
Thanks for a bug report. This seems similar to bug #668471 which fix for was included in 2.91.91, based on the corresponding upstream bug report. I do not know if this was exactly the same issue, but it's in the same part. Please reopen if you will see this in that or any later version.

With respect of "does not recognize messages", please close evolution and rename your
~/.local/share/evolution/mail/pop/<account>
to some other folder (only rename it) and the next start will be each message fetched again from the server. If the local summary is broken, then it may skip some messages. If something goes wrong, please rename the original folder back.
