Description Theodore Lee 2011-04-14 05:25:33 UTC
Description of problem:
Telling GNOME to power off causes it to log out to GDM, but doesn't have any effect after that.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gnome-shell-3.0.0.2-2.fc15.x86_64

How reproducible:
Always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the status menu.
2. Hold down the 'alt' key.
3. Select 'Power Off...', and click 'Power Off' or 'Restart' in the resulting dialogue.

Actual results:
GNOME logs out, and ends up back on the login screen. Nothing else happens. Logging back in works fine.

Expected results:
The computer should shut down.
