Description Karl E. Kelley 2011-04-14 18:01:56 UTC
Created attachment 492184 [details]
A jpeg of a RHN login web page with green text instead of the default.

Description of problem:
Updating to Redhat Enterpries 5.6 which includes xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.6.3-3.32.el5
radeon_tp driver on a system with an ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT card installed.
Many windows have some of their darker colors replaced with green color and
pictures from the web look very sick with large pieces of them being a sickly
green color. This is with a color depth of 16, changing to 24 corrects the
problem, but I would prefer to use 16-bit, I have no use for more bits color.

Also downgrading xorg-x11-drv-ait back to the previous level:
xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.6.3-3.27.el5_5.1 also fixes the problem on both 16 and
24 bit color.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.6.3-3.32.el5

How reproducible:
Very if using 16-bit color and the ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT card.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Have a machine with the ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT card and 16bit color
2.display some web-pages with pictures on them
3.It should be obvious what is wrong.

Actual results:
See attached jpegs.

Expected results:
Colors should be normal
