Description Ferry Huberts 2011-04-15 11:13:45 UTC
Request for Enhancement:

When the system detects a battery or UPS then it can go into 'laptop mode' automatically: increasing the writeback interval of local discs, enabling other relevant power savings, etc.

Once the battery or UPS is low or no longer present, the original settings can be restored or even adjusted to prepare for impending doom in case the battery or UPS is low and no AC is present (like disabling writeback on local discs, keeping the discs synced, etc)

Comment 1 Richard Hughes 2011-04-26 09:57:16 UTC
The UPS discharging already sets the OnBattery property, although this was broken until recently. I'll upload a new upower on Monday that should fix this problem.

yeah, ok, but i meant something else, maybe i wasn't clear in my text.

when a system is backed by a battery/ups it can go into laptop mode until the battery becomes too low or until the system is no longer backed by a battery/ups

if this already happens, ok.

thanks :-)
