Description of problem:
Gnome 3 will suspend fine, however on resume it may or may not let me log back in the screen lock.  If it does, The screen is frozen.  I can move the mouse, but all other keystrokes and commands are non-functional.  I'm unable to switch to any other tty and am forced to do a hard reboot.

I'm pretty sure that poweradmin is not to blame for this as poweradmin is a web-interface for the powerdns DNS-Server. 

Reassigning to gnome-power-manager.

Looking through the kernel-changelog it seems that quite a few fixes
have made their way into the current koji-f15 kernel - maybe give that a try:

I have updated to latest kernel 2.6.38.3-15.rc1.fc15.x86_64.  On Resume, I am able to enter my password and the desktop loads and responded for about 5 seconds before crashing.  No errors were given, just a frozen screen like before.  Any ideas where I can get a log of what happened???

Yes, I'm using nouveau on my F15.
I did an update this morning before creating the attached file.
For this, I used a loop, to get the latest dmesg before freezing.
I also noticed, that when I resume, I can do some operations in the gnome-terminal (but with very large delays, as you using ssh with a poor connection). It get's the final shot when doing a little bit bigger operation.

I am having the exact same problem, sometimes on resume I get a screen that is half black and half white, the black is in the lower left and the white is in the upper right and the division between them runs from the upper left to the lower right hand corners. Sometimes I can alt+f2 and type restart to fix this, in such cases I see nothing until about a minute has passed, then the screen is better. Other times I have been able to ctrl alt backspace to log in again, but most times its frozen solid. This happened to me with the nouveau drivers and is still happening with the nvidia driver package installed. I installed the nvidia driver using the RPM package instructions given here

I used the akmod package

anyway this did not solve my problems, in fact it seemed to aggravate things, I will add that on installation I did see an error about power management on the boot screen. If I boot a live cd it will show up again and I can write it down. 

My graphics card is an nvidia g-force 8200, its an onboard card on a motherboard with a 730a chipset. The board is made by XFX, its the XFX nForce 730a MCP. I hope this can be fixed in the near future as it is the only thing that keeps me from leaving my pc booted in linux all the time.

So I went to the page that I posted right above this comment and decided to do the 4th part which was indicated as optional. I am not sure which part of it did it but I have resumed three consecutive times so far with no reboot and have had no problems as of yet. It may be important to note that I killed nouveau using the following command. 






 su
yum erase xorg-x11-drv-nouveau
mv  /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/kernel/drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau.ko       /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/kernel/drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau.txt

Update on this, it worked for about 10 resumes, then the problem came back and is consistent in that it happens every time I try to resume.

Hi-

Fedora 15 gnome 3 on suspend or hibernate resume will lock me up after a minute or a few minutes of activities. keyboard and mouse become unresponsive. after power management shuts off, computer never locks up. nouveau, zotac 
I run on a zareason breeze 4220 pro linux pc.

I have the same problem with Fedora 15 x86-32bits, with Pentium 4 and graphics card GeForce FX 5200. After resume from hibernation the screen, mouse and keyboard are all frozen. Only way out is to reboot.
The same happens however, when I do a suspend and wake from it. There is no difference waking from S3/STR or S1.

Same here on a MacbookPro 13" 2009 (5,5). This is on FC16 beta. After a long suspend, when I come back from sleep everything is frozen except the mouse pointer.
