Switching between tabs on a mixed group unexpectedly collapses detail view

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1.  create a mixed group
2.  click the little triangle to expand the detail view
3.  rapidly switch between the tabs: Summary, Inventory, Alerts, Events 
4.  observe the detail view will unexpectedly collapse to the summary view
  
Actual results:

detail view collapses into summary view

Expected results:

remains in detail view
