I am experiencing this problem too. To put another way, there is a missing dependency between php and php-zts -- php needs php-zts because php-zts is referenced in the /etc/httpd/conf.d/php.conf file. Otherwise httpd will refuse to start. My exact error is: Syntax error on line 221 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: Syntax error on line 9 of /etc/httpd/conf.d/php.conf: Cannot load /etc/httpd/modules/libphp5-zts.so into server: /etc/httpd/modules/libphp5-zts.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Unfortunately, I am not familiar enough with these packages to recommend a solution. I'll leave that in your capable hands. Merging php-zts with php would make sense to me. I will take care of merging php-zts with php for (just released) version 5.3.7 in fedora 16 and rawhide. php-5.3.7-1.fc16,php-eaccelerator-0.9.6.1-8.fc16,maniadrive-1.2-31.fc16 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 16. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/php-5.3.7-1.fc16,php-eaccelerator-0.9.6.1-8.fc16,maniadrive-1.2-31.fc16 Package php-5.3.7-1.fc16, php-eaccelerator-0.9.6.1-8.fc16, maniadrive-1.2-31.fc16: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 16 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days.
