Description of problem:
Current version of epdfview calls poppler's function "poppler_page_render_to_pixbuf()" which was removed in poppler-0.17.0.

Build fails.

Build succeed.

I asked Jordi Fita, the upstream developer, to update epdfview for poppler-0.17.0.

epdfview has been updated to work with poppler-0.17.
