xournal doesn't build with poppler-0.17.0

Description of problem:
Current version of xournal calls poppler's function "poppler_page_render_to_pixbuf()" which was removed in poppler-0.17.0.


Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
xournal-0.4.5-12


Actual results:
Build fails.


Expected results:
Build succeed.

Hi,

is there any update regarding this bug? I will commit the new poppler to rawhide next week.

I just took over xournal recently and didn't know about this bug. I'll start seeing what the issue is and if upstream has any word. Maybe come up with a patch. Thanks for the heads up.

Hi,

since this is not fixed yet (together with another 4 packages), I'm postponing the commit of new poppler to 11th of July (I'll be on vacation next week).

Thanks, I looked at the source but it wasn't immediately obvious what the changes should be. Its only used in one spot and evince didn't use this originally so didn't have any other project to see similar changes. I've reported it upstream but the bug hasn't been touched yet.

Marek are planning on putting poppler-0.17 into F15? or just rawhide? I've hacked together a fix for rawhide but wondered if I'd need to apply it to F15 as well. Otherwise this bug can be closed.

Hi Nathanael,

thank you for the fix in rawhide. I don't plan to rebase poppler from 0.16.x to 0.17.x or a newer version in Fedora 15.
