Description Marco Hartgring 2011-04-20 11:38:48 UTC
Description of problem:
Update to xorg-x11-drv-wacom-0.11.0-1.fc15.x86_64 locks the option TabletPCButton to 'off'. Result is that I have to touch my tablet with my pen to use Button 2 and 3 (resp. right and middle click).

xorg-x11-drv-wacom-0.10.99-1.20110315.fc15.x86_64 does not have this problem

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
xorg-x11-drv-wacom-0.11.0-1.fc15.x86_64

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. xsetwacom --get 'Wacom Bamboo Pen Pen stylus' TabletPCButton
Result: Off
2. xsetwacom --set 'Wacom Bamboo Pen Pen stylus' TabletPCButton on
3. xsetwacom --get 'Wacom Bamboo Pen Pen stylus' TabletPCButton
Result: Off

When using the previous version I was able to set this option to on.
I've tried to enable some debugging, without result, but that's probably me.

Actual results:

Comment 1 Peter Hutterer 2011-05-03 01:00:43 UTC
try the following command please:

gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.peripherals.wacom tablet-pc-button true

GNOME has taken over some configuration for wacom tablets but we don't have a GUI for it yet.

Comment 2 Marco Hartgring 2011-05-03 17:15:23 UTC
That command worked and the setting was persistent after reboot.

Comment 3 Matěj Cepl 2011-05-03 23:18:24 UTC
I guess it would be then better as RFE for the control-center, right? Reassigning.

Comment 4 Bastien Nocera 2011-05-04 00:46:52 UTC
There's plans for a UI for setting Wacom/tablet commands, but that's best discussed upstream, not here.
