This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux maintenance release. Product Management has requested further review of this request by Red Hat Engineering, for potential inclusion in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Update release for currently deployed products. This request is not yet committed for inclusion in an Update release. Further investigation has revealed we cannot fix this issue without an entire rebase of syslinux in RHEL-5. Doing so at this point is too risky for a problem that has a documented workaround: http://www-947.ibm.com/support/entry/portal/docdisplay?brand=5000008&lndocid=MIGR-5084755 The problem has been fixed upstream, so RHEL-6 and later should not exhibit this problem. Development Management has reviewed and declined this request. You may appeal this decision by reopening this request. |
