If I open a terminal and run:

$ xdg-open .

I get a konqueror window.

The bug appears to be that /usr/share/applications/defaults.list contains:

inode/directory=gnome-nautilus-folder-handler.desktop

when it should contain:

inode/directory=nautilus.desktop


Making that change manually fixes it.

This problem affects the folders in the Places menu as well as xdg-open IIRC.

shared-mime-info-0.90-7.fc15 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 15.

Package shared-mime-info-0.90-7.fc15:
* should fix your issue,
* was pushed to the Fedora 15 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing shared-mime-info-0.90-7.fc15'
as soon as you are able to.

Done.  I downloaded the package from Koji.

Thanks for the fast fix!  If only the other three bugs I submitted in my first day using F15 Beta got fixed so quickly :)

shared-mime-info-0.90-7.fc15 has been pushed to the Fedora 15 stable repository.  If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
