The same problem here.

Comment 2 Lukas Zapletal 2011-05-02 07:17:12 UTC
@vondruch - hey. can you confirm this happens on a different hardware?

I have Lenovo T510 and this is my network controller:

03:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 (rev 35)
Subsystem: Intel Corporation Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 3x3 AGN
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 44
	Memory at f2400000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=8K]
	Capabilities: <access denied>
	Kernel driver in use: iwlagn
	Kernel modules: iwlagn

Have the same problem on a fresh install of F15 i686 (release). The icon disappears, and only restarting the NM service brings the applet icon and network (e.g. via a cable connection) back. This doesn't look like a hardware-specific bug to me, but if this matters to anyone, my network controller is:

00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/PM/GMS, 943/940GML and 945GT Express Memory Controller Hub (rev 03)

@TNO-reg, you experience a different bug.

However both issues should be fixed by the latest update.

They are, however, the problem with connecting to a hidden wireless network persists. I shall file a new bug for this.

Comment 7 Jirka Klimes 2011-06-09 12:54:00 UTC
There is only a problem with *auto* connecting to hidden networks, however it's been already fixed upstream - bug 707406.

Manual connecting to hidden network should work. In case of issues please post /var/log/messages file here.

Jirka Klimes

I have filed the Bug 712078 (the Bug Writing Guidelines state it should be one bug per report) and posted /var/log/messages there.

Comment 9 Jirka Klimes 2011-06-09 14:37:38 UTC
Closing this bug because the crash from the original report is fixed.
