This message is a notice that Fedora 14 is now at end of life. Fedora has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 14. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version' of '14' have been closed as WONTFIX. (Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.) Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were unable to fix it before Fedora 14 reached end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on "Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that version of Fedora. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. The process we are following is described here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping |
Description of problem: Firtly, please note this relates to the Beta version of FC14. A search reveals that similar bugs have been reported for earlier versions of Fedora including 11 & 13, but I didn't find a report for 14. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 14 Beta RC2 How reproducible: Very - every time an attempt is made to update repository info, or retrieve a package. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select 'System', 'Administration', 'Software Update' enter password. 2. 3. Actual results: See the Traceback produced by this error Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/share/PackageKit/helpers/yum/yumBackend.py", line 1366, in _get_group_packages txmbrs = self.yumbase.groupRemove(grp.groupid) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/yum/__init__.py", line 2614, in groupRemove txmbrs = self.remove(name=pkg, silence_warnings=True) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/yum/__init__.py", line 3706, in remove if self.tsInfo.getMembers(po.pkgtup): File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/yum/__init__.py", line 839, in <lambda> tsInfo = property(fget=lambda self: self._getTsInfo(), File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/yum/depsolve.py", line 110, in _getTsInfo pkgSack = self.pkgSack File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/yum/__init__.py", line 827, in <lambda> pkgSack = property(fget=lambda self: self._getSacks(), File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/yum/__init__.py", line 618, in _getSacks if not self.repos.getPackageSack(): File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/yum/packageSack.py", line 376, in __len__ ret += len(sack) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/yum/sqlitesack.py", line 491, in __len__ pkg_num += self._sql_MD_pkg_num('primary', repo) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/yum/sqlitesack.py", line 459, in _sql_MD_pkg_num return self._sql_MD('primary', repo, sql).fetchone()[0] File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/yum/sqlitesack.py", line 55, in newFunc raise Errors.RepoError, str(e) RepoError: no such table: packages Consequently no updating or package retrieval is possible. Expected results: Expected normal updating behaviour. Additional info: I notice that selecting 'Applications', 'Games', 'Swell Foop' that this game fails to start. The mouse icon changes to show it is searching [or thinking about it], but then changes back, no error message, it just fails to start. I assume this is an unrelated issue with how menus have been set up?
