How reproducible:

Prerequisites:
Rhel 5.7 client with latest subscription manager client .

Steps to reproduce :
Login to Client console .
Invoke subscription manager gui.
Change system date format from 12 hr to 24 hr.

Expected Result : 
Subscription manager gui date and time should update according to changed system date format .

Actual result : 
Date Format not updated in smgui .

Can you take a screenshot of where you're altering the system date format?

Based on our IRC conversation, it looks like the system date that's being set is only for the gnome desktop itself. The date read by subscription-manager is based on the user's locale, and is not alterable (besides altering the locale). Closing as notabug.
