Sounds like a kernel issue, reassigning. This problem report was entered on April 11, 2011. The RHEL kernel version was not specified, but it was probably some kernel before RHEL 6.1. I don't see any additional information about the make and model of the laptop.
Therefore, I'm going to close this problem report.
If you can reproduce this problem with RHEL 6.8, please open a new problem report.
