2. What is the nature and description of the request?

Enable SO_REUSEADDR support for rdma_cm

3. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)

LLNL makes extensive use of Infiniband and Lustre in their environment.  There are 2 patches which are headed upstream which allow the reuse of port
numbers in the rdma_cm port space.  There is also a patch to the userspace
header file for userspace to use SO_REUSEADDR (Called RDMA_OPTION_ID_REUSEADDR).

LLNL has pulled the patches available at the following URL in to their RHEL 6 based HPC solution, CHAOS 5. They desire having these patches applied to the RHEL kernel.  With these patches Lustre can reuse priviledge ports for all it's connections.

4. How would the customer like to achieve this? (List the functional
requirements here):

Red Hat apply the patches to the RHEL kernel.

5. For each functional requirement listed in question 4, specify how Red
Hat and the customer can test to confirm the requirement is successfully
implemented.

Ira Weiny has verified they work with his userspace tests.  Ira initially developed the patch and submitted them upstream within the past couple months.  He says they are very minor and should not affect others not using the REUSE option.

The kernel patch for this is upstream and was pulled in during the refresh of the IB stack.

confirmed those patches had been applied correctly.
