XFS Online Discard Support
An online discard operation performed on a mounted file system discards blocks which are not in use by the file system. Online discard operations are now supported on XFS file systems. For more information, refer to section Discard Unused Blocks in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 Storage Administration Guide.
