Description Daniel Qarras 2011-04-28 07:15:51 UTC
Description of problem:
After installing F15ß I see the error in dmesg output on my laptop. The error was not present in earlier Fedora releases. Will attach logs for further inspection, I don't know how severe this error is. Thanks.

Is the error message only representation of the problem? I.e., do you see any degradation in the performance of the system?

Yes, as far as I can tell.

> I.e., do you see any degradation in the performance of the system?

System load is clearly higher than with Fedora 14 but that's probably because of GNOME 3 / gnome-shell in general, this is pretty old laptop.

Thanks.

please attach you gpu rom to the bug, to get your gpu rom as root :

cd /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000\:01\:00.0/
echo 1 > rom
cat rom > /tmp/vbios.rom
echo 0 > rom

then attach /tmp/vbios.rom to this bug

ok fix is
http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/dri-devel/2011-May/011107.html

as it's harmless closing and marking as next release, it might even hit the f15 through stable.
