Thanks for the bug report. We have reviewed the information you have provided above, and there is some additional information we require that will be helpful in our diagnosis of this issue. Please attach (DO NOT PASTE IT) * output of fc-list : family style file spacing to the bug report as individual uncompressed file attachments using the bugzilla file attachment link above. We will review this issue again once you've had a chance to attach this information. Thanks in advance. Created attachment 499857 [details]
fc-list output
As you wish.
(In reply to comment #2) > Created attachment 499857 [details] > fc-list output > > As you wish. I am sorry, my mistake ... I asked you for the wrong command. It should be fc-list : family style file spacing Without that I am not able to distinguish which fonts are actually used. Also output of yum list installed \*-fonts would be helpful. Also, what exactly happens when you try to use one of the fonts which are not installed system-wide? Also, could you attach to this bug file ~/.xsession-errors ? Thank you. screencast of the non-reproduction
OK, so it is obvious that fontconfig et al. work with your local fonts correctly:
/home/adrin/.fonts/ScheherazadeRegOT.ttf: Scheherazade:style=Regular
However, I still cannot reproduce it here. Although it is not much beauty I can make work firefox working with my local "TeX Gyre Pagella" font.
Do you use some special theme for Gnome-in-KDE compatibility? What font do you have installed there?
I rechecked and now firefox does not have any problem with pages which set fonts themselves. But I can not set default font for Arabic/Persian texts. Besides, I did nothing in Gnome-in-KDE compatibility. Reassigning to pango. What is it exactly you are trying to achieve that is not working? Nothing to do with Pango. Looks like it has to do with Firefox configuration stuff. So back to firefox, and we can try one more thing. 1) Are you able to reproduce this when running firefox in the safe mode (i.e., run it with parameter -safe-mode on the command line) 2) Are you able to reproduce the problem with the upstream binary from http://www.firefox.com/ or ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/4.0/? 3) Are you able to reproduce the problem with a fresh profile? Thank you for your cooperation and helping to make Fedora more awesome! We will review this issue again once you've had a chance to attach this information. Thanks in advance. I confirm that this bug no more exists and I rechecked those pages which was problematic and firefox is working and using my local fonts. Thanks. Thank you for letting us know |
