Description of problem:
-= Repository Synchronization Status =-

The sync status does not change to 'running' state from the 'scheduled' state.
but the sync starts and completes as shown below , state changes directly from 'scheduled' to 'finished' without moving to 'running'.

Also there is no change of sync timing, when using 'sr option' under the 'Next Sync' heading.

How reproducible:

when trying to set an indiviual repo sync using 'sr option', and then checking the repos sync schedules using 'dr option'.

The state doesn't move to 'running', it still shows 'scheduled'

Was the repo already syncced out to the CDS? Was it a small repo? It's possible that the sync finished quickly enough that the running state started and completed during the time between triggering it and displaying the status.

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be looking at in the 'dr' snippet. Which repo was it you tried to sync? 

You say that:

but in actual results you say:

Which is it? Is it going to finished or staying at scheduled?

ok, the sentence was a bit misleading.

The Actual result should be : The state remains as 'scheduled', during the syncing with out moving to 'running' and after the sync is finished directly moves to 'finished' from 'scheduled'. In short -- the state never goes to 'running'. 

The sync ran for a while, as I was syncing rhel5 content from cdn.

Using 'dr option' to view the states.

I found the same behaviour as mentioned in comment2.

Additionally, when a repo sync is finished, the state never changed to 'scheduled' even after triggering the individual repo sync.

Also "Next sync' time remains same.

Facing the same issue with pulp-180 and rh-rhui-tools 2.0.25

Change in state of sync schedule happens, but only when its scheduled 'by default'. meaning change in state of sync schedule doesn't happen , if performed an individual sync using ' sr command'.

Similar observation for CDS sync schedules.

When we trigger individual CDS sync schedule, state in "Last Result" doesn't change. However its working when sync starts at default interval of time.

Verified on Pulp 0.190. Sync status changed perfectly when sync starts at its scheduled interval. 

However when we trigger the individual sync. It works for only RHUI1.2 repos. 

And for others, it remains in same state (scheduled). Here I triggered the individual repo sync for "rhel6 optional releases (RPMs)" and when I checked the sync status, it was set as scheduled. 

And when I retriggered the individual repo sync, i got 

... sync already in progress, new schedule was not added.
