Description Joshua Wulf 2011-04-30 01:07:06 UTC
We need the login to function like this (at least):

Users log in using an arbitrary email address, which becomes their username.

They select the role they are logging in as from a drop-down.

Like this:

Email Address: ____________________
Login as: [ ] <-- drop-down box with roles

We need this because soon people are going to be hammering the system, and entering a lot of ambiguous things. We will need to contact them and ask them: "What were you thinking?". Without their email address, everything is going to say: "SME", which will be no help.

So we need unique identification. This looks like the shortest path. Arbitrary email address entry until we can get LDAP integrated auth.

Graeme Gillies is going to give us some code to help with this.
