Description NickG 2011-05-01 23:13:33 UTC
Description of problem:
I'm new to Fedora but want to install software libraries.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
3.0.0

How reproducible:
Always (Improvement suggestion)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load tool via gnome-shell for 'Add/Remove Software'
2. Select 'Programming' from left-hand menu

Actual results:
'No results found'

Expected results:
A view, similar to USS or Synaptic showing available software (I specifically want the gtk3 development libraries and the packages need to build kernel modules).

Additional info:
I'm not sure how/if I'm using the software correctly but searching returns results for *every* category. This may be less a functionality request and more a case for the UX guys to look into.

Comment 1 Fedora End Of Life 2013-04-03 17:20:40 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 19 development cycle.
Changing version to '19'.

(As we did not run this process for some time, it could affect also pre-Fedora 19 development
cycle bugs. We are very sorry. It will help us with cleanup during Fedora 19 End Of Life. Thank you.)

Comment 2 Richard Hughes 2013-12-10 17:10:11 UTC
In Fedora 20 we've introduced a new software center called gnome-software.
