Description of problem:

Unable to generate sound from my notebook which contains the following devices (/proc/asound/cards):

 0 [PCH            ]: HDA-Intel - HDA Intel PCH
                      HDA Intel PCH at 0xf6500000 irq 50
 1 [NVidia         ]: HDA-Intel - HDA NVidia
                      HDA NVidia at 0xf6080000 irq 17

How reproducible:

Despite multiple attempts, no sound heard

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run Rhythmbox - no sound prouced
2. Test speakers on sound menu does not generate sound

Neither 1 or 2 generate sounds

Expected results:

Sound being heard

Was able to restore sound by re-installing via yum both alsa and pulseaudio packages.

Still believe there is an issue in fedora 15 in the "Sounds Settings" test speakers functionality since I was previously, but not now, able to get audio out of the speakers when running "test speakers".

 Since I can hear music via Rhythmbox, I doubt this bug is related to the kernel so I'm going to close the bug report.
