Thanks for the update, the backtrace looks good. As I guessed in bug #701299, this is a copy of bug #651523, but because we have no reproducer from there, then I would like to ask you for cooperation with fixing this bug. I will create a test package for you, with a possible fix for this. Is it fine with you, please?

Comment 8 Milan Crha 2011-05-03 08:34:19 UTC
Here is built the test package:
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=3046922

If you find a time to give it a try and report back then it'll be much appreciated.

From what I found it seems that the message has only "inline" attachments and no actual message body set, which seems to me like pretty unusual case, on the first look. Please check the message content, as interpreted by evolution-mapi, whether it shows all the information, say similar to one showed in OWA interface of your exchange server, for this particular message. That just in case if more fixes will be needed to show content of the message properly. Thanks in advance.

Comment 9 Adam Hough 2011-05-03 13:17:04 UTC
You are correct in that the message only has an attachment and no actual message in the body section. I also agree that it is unusual but Panasas seems to do this so I am guessing someone else might in the future as well.

I have installed the test package that you provided and it has fixed the issue it seems. That same email no longer crashes Evolution.

Is there anything else you would like me to do?

Comment 10 Milan Crha 2011-05-04 06:01:08 UTC
Thanks for the testing. I would like to ask you the last thing, is it correct that it has only an attachment with no body? I meant if the message is shown (and reconstructed) in evolution as expected. If it is, then I'm all fine and I will provide this package as an update, but if evolution-mapi can do more with respect of recreating message better, then I would like to give it a try.

Comment 11 Adam Hough 2011-05-04 12:16:48 UTC
Yes, in OWA, Apple iphone client, and the Android mail client the message has nothing in the body of the email and they only show an attachment. Evolution now shows the same thing.

The attachement is a text file that has been gziped.
