EPEL5 includes 7-Zip 4.61 (Beta) from 2008.
Version should be updated to 4.65 or rebased to 9.x.

I've just updated to the latest 9.x for F15 and devel, I'll test it for EL too.

p7zip-9.20.1-2.el5 has been submitted as an update for Fedora EPEL 5.

* was pushed to the Fedora EPEL 5 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=epel-testing p7zip-9.20.1-2.el5'
as soon as you are able to.
