Description of problem:

EPEL's current version, 1.3.7, contains some nasty denial of service bugs. These seem to be resolved in the latest version 1.3.12. The SRPM seems to build fine from their site and I don't see any major changes other than bugfixes. Likely the current .spec file will build fine with minor tweaks to version numbers. 

I have built it on my el5 with no issues.

GraphicsMagick-1.3.14-1.el5 has been submitted as an update for Fedora EPEL 5.

Package GraphicsMagick-1.3.14-1.el5:
* should fix your issue,
* was pushed to the Fedora EPEL 5 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=epel-testing GraphicsMagick-1.3.14-1.el5'
as soon as you are able to.
