Description throt 2011-05-04 09:27:40 UTC
Description of problem:

Installed FC15.x86_64 live USB couple of days ago. Ran update manager, it showed ca 300 updates total ca 300MB. It took several hours to update those updates. Also it was very ressource consuming. The comp was practically not usable turning the process. At first after an hour of updating I thought the system has crashed cause the progressbar didn't move and reisntalled FC15. Then after started updating sorted the packets by progress and saw that the packets are getting slowly installed. Tried to use firefox also because of got bored, it worked really slow and after ca 15mins the system hung
A 40kB update shouldnt take 1-2 mins to install, should it?

Did you install the system on your hard drive, or did you try to update the liveusb?
