Description Manny 2011-05-05 00:13:07 UTC
Description of problem:
I use Firefox with multiple profiles. Using Alacarte menu editor I have changed my Firefox desktop shortcut to enable to multiple profiles features:

firefox -ProfileManager -no-remote %u

Gnome-shell will respect this change at first launch of Firefox by displaying the profile manager. But any subsequent launch just switches to the already open Firefox window instead of invoking the launch parameters to open another profile.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
3.0.1-2.fc15

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Modify Firefox shortcut with Alacarte menu editor to: firefox -ProfileManager -no-remote %u
2. Launch shortcut from gnome-shell with the first profile (Launch will display profile manager as expected)
3. With the first profile open, launch Firefox again.

Actual results:
First launched profile is brought in focus.

Expected results:
New instance of Firefox is launched and the profile manager appears.
