Description of problem:
Inthe GDM configurator, when I change options like the graphical greeter theme
or the standard greeter 24 hr time format setting, my entire gnome session, with
apps and all crashes(silently - no error messages - all apps incl. panel and
desktop icons(nautilus)) after a few seconds the standard gnome stuff shows up
again, but not any of my applications...
The problem occurs immediately when changing the otions, no need to accept
changes or anything...

Comment 3 George Lebl 2002-08-01 17:23:05 UTC
This is fixed in the newest versions, in fact this was only a bug in the
original .0 version that came out with gnome2.

Comment 4 Havoc Pennington 2002-08-01 18:15:48 UTC
Can you try the 2.4.0.4 package from rawhide when it appears?

Comment 5 Havoc Pennington 2002-08-01 18:16:59 UTC
(you = reporter, not george)

Comment 6 Need Real Name 2002-08-04 20:07:27 UTC
I can reproduce this every single time in Limbo II with no updates.

Comment 7 Havoc Pennington 2002-08-04 20:22:24 UTC
Limbo 2 had 2.4.0.0 I think, george is claiming 2.4.0.4 from rawhide will fix.

Comment 8 Thomas M Steenholdt 2002-08-04 21:17:33 UTC
After having upgraded to the rawhide release, I have NOT been able to reproduce
the problem... Fix confirmed!

Thanks, sounds good.
