Comment 2 RHEL Program Management 2011-05-05 20:47:46 UTC
This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for
inclusion in the current release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Because the affected component is not scheduled to be updated
in the current release, Red Hat is unfortunately unable to
address this request at this time. Red Hat invites you to
ask your support representative to propose this request, if
appropriate and relevant, in the next release of Red Hat
Enterprise Linux. If you would like it considered as an
exception in the current release, please ask your support
representative.

Comment 3 Bill Nottingham 2011-05-05 20:59:24 UTC
RHEL doesn't ship mplayer; there is nothing we can do about this. I suggest you file this with wherever you're trying to install mplayer from.

Comment 4 C. M. Trindade 2011-05-06 21:40:43 UTC
That's OK, it happens that it's not really a bug but a warning was issued to file a bug to bugzilla.
Solution: In Add/Remove Software, in Software Sources, unselect ATrpms and mplayer will install provided you have selected third party packages only from one source, in my case RPMFusion.
Different third party software sources are selected by default in Scientific 6.0.
