Description Pavel Novotny 2011-05-06 12:06:18 UTC
Description of problem:
When you try to create new monitoring probe and you change value of the "Command" select box, the form, instead of refresh, is immediately submitted (moreover with the old value) as if you clicked on "Create probe" button. So you cannot enter any of the probe-specific fields or/and the probe is created instantly (if there are no mandatory fields).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
spacewalk-java-1.2.39-61.el5sat

How reproducible:
Always
(experienced in Firefox 4 and Google Chrome 11)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable monitoring (Admin->configuration->Enable Monitoring)
2. Create a probe suite and open its details page.
3. In "Probes" tab, click on "create new probe" link.
4. Change "Command" select box from "Load" to "CPU Usage".

Actual results:
Form is submitted, wrong probe (Linux::Load) is instantly created and you are redirected to the probe list page.

Expected results:
Form is only refreshed with the probe-specific fields (in this case with fields like "CPU Load X-Minute Average", etc.).

Additional info:
Regression, this behaviour is not present in Satellite 5.4.0.

Comment 3 Pavel Novotny 2011-05-11 09:59:28 UTC
Verified with spacewalk-java-1.2.39-73.

With this package applied, I don't experience issues described in comment 0 anymore. Creation of any probe suite through WebUI works fine now.

Comment 4 Šimon Lukašík 2011-06-08 09:31:48 UTC
SanityOnly verified in stage with spacewalk-java-1.2.39-82.el5sat

Testing procedure:
- automated test
- manual attempt
