Description Juan Saavedra 2011-05-09 14:21:20 UTC
Description of problem:
For the following programs: Firefox, Empathy(jabber, msn, irc), Evolution
when setting a proxy in the gnome network dialog box, none of them connects to the internet.

I believe that this is a more broad issue than just all of the bugs for each component (As 691627) and that it must be addressed for the final release.

This said, I fully updated my system past saturday (05/07/2011) and this behaviour has not been fixed.

How reproducible:
Always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Gnome3 netowrk dialog box.
2. Set up a proxy (Automatic or Manual).
3. Optional - Reboot (in Gnome2, for some applications it was necessary to log back again)
4. Open Firefox, Empathy, Evolution

Actual results:
None of them connects to the internet.

Expected results:
Fully working applications.

Additional info:
gnome terminal has fixed this (though an error persist,I'm on my way to update bug #699190)
