Description Guohua Ouyang 2011-05-10 08:31:44 UTC
Description of problem:
/boot/grub is linking to /dev/.initramfs/live/grub, it should be linking to /dev/.initramfs/live/boot/grub. Since it's just a link, so it did not affect boot process.

# ll /boot/grub
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 25 2011-05-10 03:13 /boot/grub -> /dev/.initramfs/live/grub

# ll /dev/.initramfs/live/grub
ls: cannot access /dev/.initramfs/live/grub: No such file or directory

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
rhev-hypervisor-6.1-20110506

How reproducible:
Always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. ll /boot/grub

Actual results:
/boot/grub is linking to /dev/.initramfs/live/grub

Expected results:
/boot/grub is linking to /dev/.initramfs/live/grub, it should be linking to /dev/.initramfs/live/boot/grub.

boot/grub was actually the issue, fixed in bug 720284
rhevh 6.x doesn't have "boot" subfolder anymore, content of rhevh rootfs installed on disk is:
