Description J.C. Molet 2011-05-10 14:07:01 UTC

invalid fb user

Description of problem:
When registering subscription-manager in firstboot, you are allowed to continue through the screens when using an invalid username.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
subscription-manager-gnome-0.95.5.10-1.git.6.ad7cd7d.el5
subscription-manager-firstboot-0.95.5.10-1.git.6.ad7cd7d.el5
subscription-manager-0.95.5.10-1.git.6.ad7cd7d.el5

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Find a rhel5 machine with rhsm installed.
2. Fire up firstboot
3. Progress through the screens and choose to register with subscription manager
4. Enter in a bogus username and password

Actual results:
You get the pop up error, but firstboot progresses to the next step (see screenshot)

Expected results:
You get the pop up error, and firstboot cannot progress to the next screen.

commit ac042bed7e00f09214782cfe54b62a92458335b9
Author: Adrian Likins <alikins>
Date: Tue May 10 12:44:23 2011 -0400

703491: firstboot would continue to next screen on auth failure

RHEL5 firstboot expects a None/!None response to apply(), not
    True/False

firstboot now blocks on the Entitlement Registration panel when invalid credentials are supplied

Verifying Version...
[root@jsefler-onprem-5server ~]# rpm -qa | grep subscription-manager
subscription-manager-gnome-0.95.5.14-1.git.3.83b3a73.el5

subscription-manager-0.95.5.14-1.git.3.83b3a73.el5

Also verified that firstboot blocks on the Entitlement Registration panel when:
1. no login is supplied.
2. no password is supplied
3. no system name is supplied
4. system begins with a #
5. invalid credentials are supplied
