Package: gnome-shell-3.0.1-4.fc15 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 15 (Lovelock) Comment ----- Switching user and trying to log in with fingerprint Package: gnome-shell-3.0.1-4.fc15 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 15 (Lovelock) Comment ----- no idea what caused this Package: gnome-shell-3.0.1-4.fc15 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 15 (Lovelock) Comment ----- I logged in as one user with a dual-monitor setup, non-mirrored. I then went to "switch user" and logged in as the second user. The screens were mirrored, but that was fine for my application. I then logged out as the second user, typed the password for the first user, and then GNOME crashed. Package: gnome-shell-3.0.2-1.fc15 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 15 (Lovelock) Comment ----- I locked the screen, clicked 'Switch User' and then logged back in as the same user. Package: gnome-shell-3.0.2-1.fc15 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 15 (Lovelock) Comment ----- Added a new user through gnome-control-center user-accounts Package: gnome-shell-3.0.2-1.fc15 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 15 (Lovelock) Comment ----- crash after user switch Package: gnome-shell-3.0.2-1.fc15 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 15 (Lovelock) Comment ----- This happened after 'switch user' back to the existing session. Package: gnome-shell-3.0.2-4.fc15 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 15 (Lovelock) Comment ----- Standard usage; nothing out of the ordinary. Screen blacks out as if the inactivity timer has triggered. It remains completely dark for 2-4 seconds. Audio (if any) continues during this period. Then the screen is restored as if nothing had happened. Using hte ATI open source driver. Package: gnome-shell-3.0.2-4.fc15 Architecture: x86_64 OS Release: Fedora release 15 (Lovelock) Comment ----- 1. I am using a monitor with my laptop. I went away for some time and it got screen locked. 2. Opened up tty2 (Ctrl+Alt+F2), changed passwd of user 3. Back using Ctrl+Alt+F1 4. Screen is shattered but I can see login prompt 5. Type password and hit enter 6. Screen is still not good (like old TV not tuned) 7. Open laptop lid 8. Gnome shell crashed. So, there are two issues here: Screen was not good once I logged in and gnome-shell crashed. Backtrace analysis found this bug to be similar to bug #725363, closing as duplicate.
