RedHat 7.3 on a P/3 730MHz got a kernel oops
when I tried to do

# rpm -fr gdb-5.2.0_2002-06-27-cvs gdb-5.2.0_2002-07-17-cvs
gdb-5.2.1.0.90_2002-07-29-cvs gcc-2.96-20000731 glibc-2.2.5 kernel-2.4.18

which were rpm build directories.

what filesystem is it ?

I fixed a IEEE1394 SBP2 inquiry bug. It is on ext3.

Thanks for the bug report. However, Red Hat no longer maintains this version of
the product. Please upgrade to the latest version and open a new bug if the problem
persists.

The Fedora Legacy project (http://fedoralegacy.org/) maintains some older releases, 
and if you believe this bug is interesting to them, please report the problem in
the bug tracker at: http://bugzilla.fedora.us/
