I think the answer here is "don't restart dbus" because we consider dbus a core component of the system, and a lot more than nm-applet can break if you do... we don't expect things to survive a dbus restart upstream most of the time anyway, though we try to handle it if we can. I don't think this is critical enough to make a RHEL5 update given that dbus shouldn't be restarted manually during normal operation. |
