Uhm, confirmed, looks like this is a regression somewhere. :-( I'll have a look. In the meantime, as a workaround, you can use "System / Krusader – Administrator mode (root)" from the KDE Plasma Kickoff menu. Hi Kevin, have you found where is the regression ? when I want launch kde in root mode I have those line in .xsession-errors: kmix(2540) sink_input_cb: Ignoring sink-input due to it being designated as an event and thus handled by the Event slider kded(2203)/kmix sink_input_cb: Ignoring sink-input due to it being designated as an event and thus handled by the Event slider Application asked to unregister timer 0x4a000009 which is not registered in this thread. Fix application. klauncher(2201)/kio (KLauncher): SlavePool: No communication with slave. > Hi Kevin, have you found where is the regression ? No, sorry, I haven't had the time to look into this at all yet. > when I want launch kde in root mode I have those line in .xsession-errors: Those are unrelated. This is https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=271264 . I'm probably going to apply the proposed patch from there. OK, for test I build krusader with the patch and install it, and now that work, I can launch krusader in root mode from krusader as user. BTW, the reason this only happens in F14 (updates) and later is that kdesu changed behavior in 4.6, F13 stayed on 4.5. krusader-2.3.0-0.3.beta1.fc15 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 15. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/krusader-2.3.0-0.3.beta1.fc15 krusader-2.3.0-0.3.beta1.fc14 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 14. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/krusader-2.3.0-0.3.beta1.fc14 Ok, I install the update on F14 and F15 and launch krusader in root mode from krusader work fine. Thank... Please do not close this bug before the update is stable! It will be closed automatically by the update system (Bodhi) when pushed to stable. Package krusader-2.3.0-0.3.beta1.fc15: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 15 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days.
