Description of problem:
Whenever I launch gedit from bash with the directory location of a document written as root as the argument, Gedit spits this out at me:

So I'm kind of annoyed with this because I usually use Guake and it also happens in the Terminal that comes with Fedora.

How reproducible:
Every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a document and save it as root
2. Log in as root
3. Type gedit with the directory of the document following the command
  
Actual results:
Crashes

Expected results:
Umm... to work...? :P

But this will work in Eshell through Emacs. So I would guess that something in bash is having a hiccup..?

Working for me (with bash) in F17 Beta (Terminal, 'su -', $GUI-EDITOR on root-owned file). (Hadn't checked with previous Fedora versions.)
