Description Stefan Metzmacher 2011-05-19 17:17:01 UTC
using the mapchars option of cifs.ko causes all filename to be just zero utf16 bytes on the wire, which makes the option unusable.

The bug should be fixed before the final Fedora 15 release.

Please backup the patches.

in 2.6.29, see:
http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git;a=commitdiff;h=11379b5e33950048ad66825da7f462b0d0da9d73

They will hopefully also be included in the next 2.6.38.y release.

kernel-2.6.38.7-28.rc1.fc15 seems to have the fixes.
